I have been through much of this forum and currently a little confused about membership.
I am hoping someone can set me straight as to the requirements for this.
On one hand I see the donation site, on the other I see a paypal membership site for fourty something dollars and then again I see all these links for producing income for the website owner and a discussion thread which states the site can remain free if we support these links.
My question is which of the above is true.
Another quick one, if you click on the links how long do you have to stay with the link to draw the income for the website owner. Is simply a click and when the site downloads closing the link sufficient enough to generate income.
If so, it is an easy and quick way to help out.

I agree it is a bit confusing... click, donate, or upgrade membership.
I was getting tired of the ad redirects that were happening every 10 clicks or so, and decided to use the "upgrade membership button". Figured it was about time I donated anyway.
But at the end of the PayPal transaction, there was a message that the membership upgrade failed. The ad redirects stopped.

Did a slight hack on the search, it's not perfect yet, but it will show you which page has the keyword/keyphrase you are looking for in that thread, and the keyword/keyphrase is highlighted on that page.
It's not on the menu yet as I am still testing it out, but you can have a go at it now. Make sure you are searching for the keyword in the posts and not in the titles, after all, that's where the information is.

Seriously, there are tons of other boards for this pissing contest, maybe the tech threads can be kept off the "Last 25". Any merit to the suggestion?
We could selectively tag threads that have no relevance to the focus of this board, and those tagged threads will not show up on Last 25. There could relevant threads in the Tech section, so keeping the entire section out of the Last 25 may not be such a good idea.
Okay, it's done. The new Last 25 will now show the tagged threads, which I will decide on based on members' feedback. You will find a new link Show all Last 25 (in the Last 25 page, next to Weekly RTs) which will display everything in case you still want to see them.

There is a small bug in this little feature (at least in my eyes).
Before I posted this post, the content of the last 25 was:
With filter on:
17 posts
Show all:
25 posts (17 + 8 apple posts)
It would make more sence to show all the last 25 posts that "isn't flagged", always 25...
