To me Star of Light is like "A Tale of Two Bars.". Yes, dear Rabbit is back in the fold, thank goodness. It's always hard to take when a really good and skilful lady leaves, as so many do, but always a joy if they return.
A hard lesson to learn, Da Hammer when you lose your phone.
Whenever I get a new name and number, and this goes for all contacts, both professional and social, I add it to my e-mail list which I send to myself as well as recording it on my phone, so that I have access wherever I am and whatever happens.
The chink in this defense is of course, when the other party loses their phone, so the only way I have tried to strength that weakness is to try to informally get as much info as possible on the contact without appearing to be pushy or nosey : where does she come from, where does she like to go to, where does she shop, where is her favourite place to eat, who is her best friend etc. It sometimes works to save the day.

If you have an Android phone, which you're forced to sync to a Google account, there's an even easier way: manage all your contacts online in Google Contacts. Any changes you make will be instantly updated on your phone (and vice-versa). You can manage the photos for your contacts that way too, if you're into such things.
If you ever lose the phone, you haven't lost a single bit of contact info, it's online in your Google account.
