Would someone please suggest a good vietnam beach for a June family holiday with some P4P action on the side.

china sailor,,please do some reading up on Vietnam,, I think less than 3% Christian.
Little Big Man, seemed to have a great time,, I have been OFTEN and WIDELY speaking of Vietnam as a better AND cheaper alternative to Thailand.It would seem others are beginning to see it that way also.
Several years down the track we may see the Mecca of SE Asian tourism,, a BKK - Phnom Phen - Saigon high speed train with a single Visa entry ( 3 countries). At this stage we can only dream.

Never saw any P4P at any VN beaches. Most of the respectable family type beaches keep the rif raf out.
There is no Pattaya, Patong, or Samui beaches in VN.

You must not have travelled to Vung Tau, there is a lot of P4P Action around the Beach Areas at night!

Vietnam in general has a scene much more "hidden" than Thailands.
Less likely to have a gal actually walk up to you at the beach and offer her services.
I had little trouble finding action near the beaches of Nah Trang, Tuy Hoa, Da Nang or Hue' as I made my way up the coast in 2000.
As in 99% of situations a few words in the local language helps.
In general the beaches are far better and far cleaner than those of Thailand, well they where 7 odd years ago.
But remember the scene is much more underground than in Thailand are you'll get in a lot more trouble if caught.

One must also appreciate that in those seven years things have got a lot better and easier on the P4P scene in Vietnam,,, well according to my Vietnamese mates who go every year.

P4P is available everywhere in Vietnam include a small island in Ha Long bay (Cat ba island). If you don't speak Vietnamese, just ask any motobike driver on street, they will take you there or bring the girl to your room for you. Vung Tao is #1 for P4P. the best beach in Vietnam is Nha Trang.
Thailand has better beaches than Vietnam. In Vietnam, you will never find beach like Phuket, Pee pee, Samui, Krabi or Hua Hin.
