I bought a Grad A fake Tag Heuer for my daughter...cost me about 3000 baht. Two days for delivery.
Two year slater, while in Michigan, the battery went. She found a TG shop, asked them if the would mind replacing the battery even though it was a replica.
"Of course not."
They opened it up,,,,began the deed, then pulled our a loop to examine it, brought over a second tech...then told her: "Miss, this ia a real Tag Heuer."

I bought a fake Tag in 02 at the corner of Sukhumvit and Soi 3 that still works. I think I paid about 600 baht for it. I have killed two real Tags since that time. I had a friend buy a high end replica Rolex in Patpong and it was dead in 2 weeks. I have a website out of China that has the best copies I have ever seen though.

Every watch I bought since 2003 still works (TAG, Rolex, Cartier) I like the TAGs the most, as they seem to be the most solid construction - the problem with the Rolex models isn't the face part (which is solid, but usually the band, whereas the closure always feels a bit flimsy. I found that by purchasing a separate after-market band, those are usually better made (go figure).
At 800 Baht for the Rolex, and 200 for the bands, I was still doing well. The TAGs usually go for between 800 to 1,200 - depending on how much I feel like haggling, or how much I like the vendor. If they are cool, and I buy a handful of watches, I usually give them an extra 100 Baht in 'tip'.

Interestingly, I own a real TAG circa 1996. I always go to the same Asian(Bangladeshi I think) jewellers in Willesden, London to change batteries. Even though they know the watch & myself really well, they always write FAKE on my collection ticket. Talk about covering your arse!

I bought a fake Panerai Luminor Marina (Automatic) for about 1500 at Patpong in summer 2007. It looks fine and works perfect ever since. Had to replace the luxury looking but poor leather band after like one year though... Found a perfect replacement at Robinson.
