Baan Rim Paa in Phuket, Celadon in Sukhothai Bangkok, Took Lae Dee in Foodland soi 5 sukhumvit (cheap), that thai place just as youre walking into Big C in Pattaya (cheap), Baan Khanitha @ 36/1 Suk. Soi 23, Thanying in Singapore....

Opposite my office in Ekamai...there is a very popular Isaan restaurant serving great food at a very low price!
It's named Sabai Jai Kai Yan.....good lunch for 2 at 250baht drinks included!
Some of the brothers can confirm...

I am not looking necessarily for cheap although from the replies cheap and good seem possible.
I am looking for very good but affordable, say 1000baht max ?
I went to an American place on Washington Square. A friend recommended the breakfast but I went for dinner. 1000Baht for a beer,gumbo and a steak and indigestion afterwards.
I get the occasional craving for Western food but generally in Thailand I like to eat Thai. There aren't any Greek restaurants.
Talking of Lamb, the lamb on my Thai flight home was excellent this time. Very good ! Top marks to Thai Airways !

There is a Greek restaurant called Athena on Suk 63.
One of my favorite Thai places is Kalaprapruek on First (Emporium 1F).

There aren't any Greek restaurants.
Search around a bit. I read recently in the Nation that there are 5-6 Greek Restaurants in Bangkok. Remember one is in the All Seasons Place Complex on Soi Wittayut.

It's not Thai but Lao, but a great place is Ban Lao at 49 Sukhumvit Soi 36 (tel: 0-2258-6096). It is 500 meters from Sukhumvit (turn right at Vientiane Kitchen on Soi 36). Really good food, can be very spicy. I've also been to Vientiane Kitchen and it was good.
