A wine bar which is pricey, somewhat "snob": V9, at the sofitel silom... Not sure if it is what you are looking for!
I agree on the comment above about Villa Market. Among all the overpriced/overtaxed wine they have, you can sometimes find some gems, in particular some bordeaux "grand cru" at prices that are so cheap that they do not quite make sense.

Try using your Hoowa ( ear). Hua Hin is how the Thai's & the Americans pronounce it. Unlike the french we pronounce the H.

hwar is the best transliteration...the way it is officially written in English is misleading, look at the Thai spelling.

hwar is how the americans pronounce it and this is not correct. Hua as you say means head but this is pronounced Hoo-ah or some say Haw-ah but never hwar!
Where do you get your information? Are you american?
Or are you from the Yorkshire. This is Leeds no ?
I ask a Thai and a student of Thai language with Thai girlfriend who is teacher.

The difference is you had to be informed, I know for a fact I am correct.
I am reading the Thai spelling of the word, no seperate vowel to split hoo and ah. Hor heep, mai-hana-kaht, wor wongwehn.

Yorkshire is not a dog, Yorkshire is a county. The dog is the Yorkshire Terrier but you can find these outside Yorkshire.
Leeds is in Yorkshire.

There is a very good wine bar and restaurant on a sub soi off of Soi 31. There is sign on soi 31 piointing to the place. IIRC it is about 2/3 of the way from Sukhumvit to Euro Inn on soi 31, left hand side (going away from Suk).
