Many expats feel the same. Even tourists after two days of Thai food. What the chains offer is good hygiene, convenient and easy for on the go and you know how its going to taste.
As my 6 year old son said two days ago " Dad its good to be back home" after biting into a Subway footlong at Silom.

Just curious,
Does Pizza Hut deliver in BKK? Do they have any of their own specialty pizzas as opposed to the USA. While in Thailand before I've noticed Salami and other somewhat different items on pizzas I've ordered at hotel restaraunts. I love all kinds of pizza doesn't matter to me, just curious to know.

I can't believe how cheap the stuff is though - I might have to gorge myself one night with takeout while I'm there (probably only cost me 2 - 300 baht to do so).

No problem with my time, I work for myself and have a lot of it to spare.
Pizza hut, at the Siam BTS station is pretty good and a regular dining spot of mine when I am in town.

they all deliver in bangkok! actually once you have been to bkk you should have seen all these motorbike guys with their pizza bags!
only problem for me is that in my opinion the pizza usually sucks and the combinations are rather strange for wetsern tastes.
May be that is because i am european and do not like my pizza fat and oil soaked!

I love Thai, Indian, and Arabic food. BUTT, I have found the TGs get a treat out of an occasional trip to Mickey Ds or Bogar King. My gf gets off on it and Mickey D's spicey chicken strips, fries, and coke get her horney. Can't stand the crap myself, gives me loose stools. But she loves it.
SUNBELT, I understand your point and you've done well to make a good sandwhich available, but HOW ABOUT A CORNED BEEF ON RYE WITH SOME NEW KOSHER PICKLES AND A CHOCOLATE PHOSPHATE, bet you can't do that!!!

The spicy chicken at MacDonalds is definitely not American food, more like spicy Thai food. I like it, but I am from southern part of US so we like spicy food.
