Getting Around The Chatuchak Market

You can obtain a map of the Chatuchak market by visiting the Police Post. This would help somewhat if you are there for the first time and wouldn't know where to start.
Insider Tip: Hop onto the free buggy that goes round the market. Though it only plies through two avenues, it's a good way to have a good feel of the market. It's also a nice way to chill while you decide which sections to hit next!
Shopping Tips:
------------------
1. The pet shops are categorized under a few sections and generally open from 9am onwards. If you are there earlier than that, take the time to canvass the area or just stroll around to orientate yourself.
2. Remember to bargain. If you can manage a little Thai, the better!
3. If you're expecting a large haul, bring along a bag which you can use to hold some of your purchases. Or you could always buy one of those huge stitched plastic bags for your goodies.
4. It will get quite hot as the day goes along. Start early if you can. Drink lots of water to keep yourself hydrated!
