Hey what's up based up this thread I tried and failed to find Giusto's on Suk 19. After walking 1/2 a kilometer up and down the Soi I gave up and settled for "La Grita" next to Country road. They have a new chef working there since Feb. Excellent food, presentation and service. This will make "Las Grita" one of my top three.

Thanks Singhop I would still be walking on Soi 19 if I tried to find it. Good thing I made a good recovery going to La Gritta, the new chef there is Maurizio Menconi
I don't agree with that you have to be in the locality to have good cuisine from a region. I had the worst Chinese food in China and some of the best Thai food in Los Angeles. Sure local ingredients lend to the dish, but put a master chef in any location and you get good results. IMHO the chef pays a more important role and he works with what he has available.

Went to Giusto last night...
Exact location - Go up Soi 23, pass Soi Cowboy (or stop in for a few drinks) and then it is on the right hand side just before the first junction.
I loved it - great atmosphere, fab music (Chill) and friendly but not overbearing owners... yummy too.

glad you enjoyed it... I have been twice with HiSo local friends..and service and food was GREAT.
Looking forward to a solo (maybe??) run on the weekend when next in town to see if it is same...

Smegs, I've heard several times that Enzo relocated from Suk 39 to somewhere in Muang Thong Thani... does that sound right to you? I've never been able to find it... the only Italian in M. Thong is Pinocchio. Enzo's menu at the old location was probably too ambitious but his homemade pasta was excellent so I would patronize him if I could find him...

Hey why I am trodding all the way to BKK when one moved in right under my nose, Geez, I should be able to smell the sauce. I check it out and report my findings.
