Passions flare over Gulliver's mediocre fare.  Go figure....
Surely we can agree-- No one goes to Gullivers for the cuisine. 
I just had a flash of insight as to what it is that bothers me about Gulliver's food: They make their food to cater to the blander overseas palates. I don't know about any other western countries but, when you go stateside and eat Thai, you're being served a blander, less spicey, westernized Thai cuisine that pales in comparison to what the authentic Thai cuisine is all about.
Look at Gullivers transient client base and ask yourself what sort of Thai cuisine they're normally fed. I'll bet it ain't the Isaan variety that comes to mind. Is it?
On the otherhand, Gullivers Khao San Rd. branch serves up delicious authentic Thai cuisine.

GT is just pub food, nothing special about it. For the price of 2 beers you can get a reasonable feed.
Some people out there spend a few thousand baht on piss for the night and think nothing of it and yet whinge about a couple of hundred on food. Get your priorities right boys.

IMHO Gully's Thai food is MORBIDLY overpriced
their pub grub is just ok, and still a bit overpriced
it's for blokes who are pissed already and will eat anything and think it's f***in' heaven-sent
but like others have said we go there for the pussy on display, not the food
oh, and some of us just for a beer and free internet

Well that depends where you eat and how you order, I have taken many Thai's to places in CA and they say it is just as good as Thailand, but much more expensive.
