Blown in a subway, hmmm, anyway I did say people with any 'taste' would prefer places other than subway, good fresh and tasty rolls and sangers. Not ridiculing your tastes LJ, but I would dearly love to see your requirements in the looks department, looks are not always everything, but it is what you have to start with at least and either work up or down from there and then throw in all the other variables.
But judging on your requirements and your mates requirements JNF and BD and having seen first hand JNF's cutesy meter in soi 11, I would think that a footlong and your type of gal would go well together, again no put down here, but everyone has different tastes and requirements and yours are just very clearly different to ours, regardless of cost.
