had F & C at the old dutch ( corner entrance to SC from soi 23 ) best yet, imo, but they don't have any sauce/dip for the F & C's so...
GT is tasty too, different style so might want to try out both places and give us a report.

Try Woodstock (1st floor Nana Plaza near G-spot).
Had a good F+C there last week, with good sauce too, about 210 BAHT

Asian Man - Thanks Bud - that is the one I had in mind - apart from salt & malt vinegar - what more is needed? Answer: Nothing. Buy your own at Villa & take it with you.
I remember the F&C as being good.
Why is it - after certain members reccommend places to get F&C the topic goes quiet? Would be nice to get some FR type comments.

F&C Sukhumvit no experiences to report.
Had twice F&C during four last months at BA
"Bobby’s Arms

On first floor of carpark beside Foodland sign for BA backdoor.
Some details:
1) Draft Heinpiss Sing Cha
2) Happy Hours my best guess from around noon till 8 or 9 PM I think
3) one F&C + Happy pint draft Sing @ just under 200 B
4) Menu says fish served is plaice : acknowledge + chips fried in clean oil crispy out soft in + small salad + seperate tartare dressing type sauce
5) BBCWorld tuned BKKPost on request
6) staff ok except one headwaitress with an attitude (not mai pen rai when expected)
7) downstairs sit at bar or table; interior rather run down = the 25 years of operation clearly show.
BTW : BA frontdoor is on Silom soi four : left hand side nearly at bottom of cul-de-sac (= death end soi).
While u're in the neighbourhood u might (also) check on a newish place called NORIEGA. It's right accross the road from BA's frontdoor. On Silom soi four that is. Noriega is a pretty stylish though not postmodern place. Airco. Live music at night weekend and some weekdays. It's a cosy compact place. Don't expect a crowd. Small terrace in front quiet becoz at bottom of soi.
The 40-ish fit looking Thai owner who started a friendly chat is educated cool fluent in English. I'm not gonna tell u why he named his place NORIEGA coz he will. Was there once about two months ago. Got very decent burger + excellent French fries. Other decent pubgrub available. Don't remember about Hapy Hour and prices. That weekday night live music falang amateur band. Relaxed honkytonk atmo. Couple of beers mingle mingle bla bla and gotunexpectedlylucky (oxymoron ?   ) at closing time taking a staff TC out : 35-ish rather plain turned out to be an experienced eager  genuine freebie WT  . Noriega offers food drinks and live music no BGs no FLs. The rest is really up to ur karma so accept YMMV.
