Hi all,
Has anyone been to this little restaurant in Patpong (its near Kangaroo Club). kinda small with an upstairs and downstairs. red and white checkered table cloths
I think its name begins with an M, but not 100%
anyway they have a great japanese steak, salad, spinich, potato, and bread for 199 baht.
I think I may actually head there first on my next trip, go figure LOL

DrLove may correct me on this one, but:
I belive me, DrLove and NyMick had some great, very cheap, steaks at a resturant that sounds just about what you describe...
But, then again, I may be wrong...

The name is Mizu's Kitchen. The owner is Japanese. The restaurant has been around for some 40-50 years.

Yup. And it's not "upstairs"... it has 2 floors. Now... could we edit the topic to Mizu's Kitchen ??
The infamous "Sarika steak"... a hit or miss proposition which can vary wildly... from appalling to reasonably satisfactory depending on what night of the week it is, the beef supplier, the weather, how much drink you have on board and a range of other factors.
Probably the only restaurant in Thailand that has not changed decor since it opened 40+ years ago. In fact, the place has not even been cleaned since it opened...

I think it is well worth a shot, even if hit a bad day its only 200baht and they wont f*** up the salad/ potato/creamed spinich.

Hi,
Long time ago I was at Mitzu's also, the steak there is not that bad !
As an alternative you can try Cafe the Paris, its on the other side of PP, close to Foodland.
Last week I got a pepper steak there for 250 B (with some fries and vegetables with it) and its was excellent; sitting outside near the road and looking at all girls-boys-in betweens go by makes it even better !
And my golden tip is ' 13 Coins', not in downtown Bangkok, but in Ramkampeang, Future Park etc, they have very good (farang) food, the one in Future Park Shopping Mall even has sofas instead of the regular seats. See: http://www.dininginthailand.com/13coins-concept.asp

I know it as 'Sarika Steak'... The menu has got pretty thick due to the stickering of the prices....
