Anyone know if there are any restaurants or noodle shops that serves good Pho, the aromatic Vietnamese beef noodle that is so delicious?

Good question!  I'm a big fan of Pho, but have never found a shop in Bangkok that sells it- yet.
However, you may very well enjoy Bangkok's reasonable facsimile- Kuay Tiew. Comes in myraid forms and flavors, some nearly identical to Pho. Most offer you three options for noodles- ba mii, sen lek, or sen yai. Sen lek noodles are essentially the same as Pho noodles [I think].
Recently, I did enjoy some awesome Vietnamese soup [not Pho] at a restaurant out at Jatuchak some months ago. But since it's nearly impossible to ever know where you are there, all I can tell you is the place was on the inside of the main ring road running through the market and features bench seating for 60+ people.

Top floor of MBK across from the movie theater has a vietnamese restaurant. Siam Center 4th floor across from Sizzler also has a Viet restaurant. Haven't tried either of them but I did check the menu items and they looked pretty decent.

To me, the best Pho to be had in BKK is at the international food court on top floor of Central Chitlom (The Loft, or something like that). Also fair selection of other standard VN delicacies. Of course a bit more pricey than a street stall, but well worth the trip. Also, you can find so-so VN restaurants/noodle soup a bit everywhere - basement of Silom Center, across the street from Patpong, with sort of decent Pho. Can't wait to be back in SGN!

Don't bother with that one- rubbish in fancy packaging is all it is. One of my least memorable meals.

have to agree with Wagie, had some damn good soup there. of course, that could be just memory making things look better over time - like that skank you BF'd a year ago, that you now remember having awesome tits and an ass that wouldn't quit...damn, I have to get back to bkk.
