You may also want to try the following:
Log in on your usual broadband and when you get the thankyou screen wait about 5 minutes and then try to go to the forums.
I had the same problem as you seem to be having and it could be a slow cache somewhere.
Also goint to latest post etc at the top may also short circuit the problem.

For TRUE users :
I also use TRUE at home and found a way to browse the Forum.
First Step :
Login with your username and Password : you will come to the screen where it says "Enter the Forums", when you click it, you usually get an error message.
you need to do this so your computer automatically logs you in next time you try to conect.
Second step :
Do not login via the homepage... with True, the BTN Main page does not work. instead, head directly to the Oily section (for example) : http://bkkx.com/cgi-bin/forum/forums.cgi?forum=3
and miracle, you'll see the oily page of the forum.
Third Step :
You can't click on the Top menu page "Bangkok Tonight Forums" so if you want to navigate the Forum, use the dropdown menu at the Bottom right of each page... it works like a Charm.
Only downside, you can't get all the new posts "at a glance"... but it beats having to use Dialup and continue with your Broadband TRUE
