BK, any way you can set it up so that after you perform a search on a particular word or phrase, that the keyword or phrase is bolded or highlighted in the search results? That way you don't have to read through entire 20 page threads to get to the answer you're looking for.
Also, any way to display the threads you are currently subscribed to? (the ones that you've clicked off "email notification" after replying to that is)

Hello,
about posting and especially making new threads.
I think it's quiet a good idea to stop "newbies" from making new threads on the forum, but at least when it comes to the "newbie questions" section they (including myself, member since 2004) should be allowed to post at least there, otherwise what good does it do to a "newbie" if he can't ask questions as stupid they might seem.
just a thought.

Easy way around that one. Upper right click printable version. Then I believe ctrl-F enter the word you are looking for. You can whip through a 20 page thread in no time this way as you don't have to click page 1,2,3,4,5 all the way up to 20. It will take you to the next time the word was used everytime you click search.
Advice on the thread subscription, last I knew it didn't like to turn off so you might not want to post what threads you are subsribed to

I don't know if this has been said before but when a new post is made mentioing a bar, massage parlour, hotel... and so on - it would be a great help if the poster could give the address and tel number (and if necessary directions on how to find the place) in the first post.
Those who focus on one area, say Sukhumvit, could then avoid wasting time tracking down a place outside their area of interest.
