My apologies for an outdated expression from a distant country.
Yes, spectacles = eye-glasses.
Nothing to do with anything anatomical, although it rhymes with testicles - budding poets,kindly take note.
And I think brother michi may have been referring to a pair of goggles, like a diver or swimmer might wear as opposed to a full face mask.
And yes, I agree, that for the amount of semen that gets splashed around sometimes, it may possibly be a good move of the management to provide goggles, at least for the customers on the occasions when the bar is more than a little busy.
Note to newbies : it was just a joke. No need to go in wearing a diver's dry suit. That would not strike the right impression.

Spectacles in this instance would be a form of "safety glasses", stop the eyes from burning and perhaps if lensed correctly make SOL look like a half decent place.
Connected high voltage electrodes may help the lady feel she is getting a good "non salary" deal and nasal clamps may help her feel the work environment is acceptable.
Some like it,, MOST do not,,,, Newbies best stay away until you are very "seasoned" just like the chicken you see on the rotisserie.

Yes, I agree that both remarks, the one about
connecting high voltage electrodes helping the lady feel she is getting a good "non salary" deal, and then the remark about nasal clamps helping her feel the work environment is acceptable.
Both are not only inapprpriate but revoltingly horrific.
I'm just glad that someone else thinks they are just as sick.
Neither remark has anything to do with the experiences, whatever they may be, that you may get at the Star of Light, but might be a little to do with aspects of those problems that the author of those remarks has yet to face within himself.
