I never bother with this place in BKK. Once or twice a long time ago, when it was still in the parking lot near Asoke; that was enough apparently. Though I have done things at their Hua Hin branch, and have been treated well there (I was told the girls are rotated; can anyone confirm this?) by the girls. But HH is a more relaxed place in general and the quality of the girls in bars in looks is lower than in Bangkok, or anywere else in Thailand that is known to mankind, though they are very friendly and still there are some good lookers amongst them; I have found some pleasant poon there in fact. Yes, I still recall its lovely pink color and smooth dampness. I say all this because the situation probably affects my experience in some way.
Nonetheless I sure don't like hearing about the horrible exploitation. Should I go again, I will advise the girls into another line. I don't know why the girls would put up with it. Maybe they just need to be shown where and how.

My next door neighbor's cousin twice removed on his brothers side goes to this place regularly. He informs that the girls have never expressed the fear/loathing/distress that is being discussed here.
And if it were true, I seem to think that most of the ladies could find work elsewhere.

It may be that your next door neighbor's cousin twice removed on his brothers side who visits Lolita's regularly and so therefore may be known to administration and management, might not be viewed by the ladies as someone to be confided in, but more of an ear for the owner and mamasan.
As to your second point, of thinking that the girls could find (comparable ?) work elsewhere, if you look around Bangkok there are not many places of employment like this.

Like Seajohn I tried this once or twice back in the Asoke days. I went to the "new" location once or twice since then and found the girls to be ugly and the management to be worse. There are other places to get a BBBJ that may cost a wee bit more but they are more pleasant IMHO.

The barfine has now been increased to 4000B (and the fine for being late per minute has doubled).
That alone should show a bit of a contrast with other places. If Star of Light were bigger and the Lolita's girls were confident they'd have the customers, a lot of them would be there, I think. The fear of the unknown keeps them there... but only just. Quite a few are on the edge.
As for other places where they can offer sex... well, some of them work there because they don't want to offer the full deal. Bjs are less emotional for some, less wearing too. And the hours are convenient.
