Went to two new Soi33 bars (new for me, at least).
Jina Club - across from The Office. This place is set up as a cocktail lounge (like all those in Korea, sirtitus said) with very comfortable sitting area. There is no happy hour prices, beer was 150 baht. No pressure for ladydrinks. Girls were dressed in long gowns and were OK, but there were only three of them in there at 8:15pm. Barfine is 700 baht, but you have to have bought at least two drinks on the night you pay the barfine to qualify for that price. I didn't care for the place, but to each his own.
Green Parrot - on the sub-soi before Monet (the same sub-soi as BlueBBQ). Drink prices equivalent to Happy Hour prices all night long (beer 80 or 90 baht, I remember). Lots of girls were of good quality, the two we were talking two were early-mid-20s, pretty and had good bodies. Lady drinks are 100 baht, I think. This place is set up more informally, with a few TVs around, including a big-screen upstairs. The owner said that he always puts on American Football when it is on (4pm rebroadcasts on Monday and Tuesday). Barfine is 1200 baht. At 10pm, it becomes 1000 baht, at Midnight it becomes 800baht. corrected: Sept 24
Because of the cost of drinks at Green Parrot, we went back there about 10pm after eating in Soi33. I had Dew with me so I sent her ahead two minutes with DrLove so she would not have to hear "ColoradoGuy, where you go?" from every bar as I walked down Soi 33.  Getting out of Soi33 with her was easier, I stayed in the sub-soi until a cab came, then we jumped in. Fun.

Yeah, and he has sometimes problems with the time too.
At 12 the barfine becomes THB 800.
BTW The water in Jina 33 is free.... Indeed, no pressure by the girls for drinks. Although the girls get pressured by the mamasan and the other staff.... They were happy with the drink I had for them....

No, its not a Soi33 bar...But I had always heard the BAR with the priciest barfine was AVA bar on Soi sip-et...
3000baht or something ridiculous like that. I lived around the corner, so it was like my friendly neighboorhood bar, but I never bf'd anyone from there. Cheap drinks! This was one of the only places that still had Carlsberg in the bottle when they disappeared.
So check it out! Friendly girls, cheap beers and free peanuts!

3,000 baht is certainly not the priciest barfine in bangkok.
Violin has a barfine of THB 3,800 (=10 drinks or so).
