I can't help observing that he who professes "a general animosity towards other humans" seems to be quite enjoying all the hubbub at his latest expression of same.
It would be a cheap shot to point out that someone whose animosity is GLOBAL, should pick on someone least able to defend herself in expressing it. So I'll refrain.
On the other hand, there seems to be a lot of self-righteous indignation about, too.
An old joke:

LY, sincere or not, is contrite. Everything else is between him and the lady in question.

What would I miss least about LOS?
How about crooked cops?
On one of my little drives from Pattaya to Udorn in August, I was stopped by the highway patrol four times on the one trip for the following infractions:
1. Driving 114 in a 110 zone. My wife argued until I finally handed the cop 100 baht and he said..."go with God, my son."
2. Driving 109 in a 100 zone. My wife argued until I finally handed the cop 100 baht and he said..."go with God, my son."
3. Driving in the inside (fast) lane rather than the outside (slow) lane. You can only do this when overtaking even though the road was a washboard. My wife argued until I finally handed the cop 100 baht and he said..."go with God, my son."
4. Unknown why I was stopped. I slowed down enough to hand the cop 100 baht and he said..."go with God, my son."
Anybody notice a trend here? If you are driving in LOS, carry lots of 100 baht bills.

God Damit Sonny I wished you obeyed the traffic laws.
I was stopped in the USA going down a big hill the cop clock me at 47 in a 35 MPH zone it cost me $270.00 USD in traffic fines (9200 THB) so that would eqaute 92 Thai traffic stops. I love the crooked cops.
OK my favorite game is the Thai cops set-up a radar speed trap in the same location usually at the same time in the morning. The take the plate numbers and the cops at the tool gate collect their fees.
So I speed about 110 kph (limitis 80 kph) until reach the upward slop of the flyover of which they are on the downward slope. I apply the brakes to 80 KPH. The Thai driver behind me usually gets pissed and zooms pass me usually give me a f*** you farang look at which point he is being clock by the Thai cops. I give him the Thai smile at the toll booth as he is waved over by the Thai police.
One has to enjoy some of life's simple pleasures.

Well RTB if you would drive and be cut-off every moment you have to make some compensation. This is quite toned down from driving in LA where you just pull out a gun and shoot them.
