Mell, if you are sure of this, then you could make an absolute killing in currency futures. I suggest you take all your investments and short the dollar vs. the baht. You will have more money than you know what to do with when you are correct!! Go for it!

Of course, when trading futures, it is possible to loose a lot more than is invested (unlike stocks or even options), in which case Mel will be sleeping on one of the Sukhumvit pedestrian crossovers the rest of his life if he guesses wrong.

AHHH not a matter of no money for key-board rather,,no time.Another Toshiba lap-top purchased off ebay yesterday should arrive earlynext week, thenthis one is off for repairs.
ColoradoGuy,,Look back and imagine if a few people had listened to me when I sawthe obvious signs of the $US collapse (or is tha tcollapze?)
I did play the forex game for a while,,,6 months saw just over US$600,000 profit,,,AHHH but it's different playing with REAL money.
I do have some very nice shares (Stockz),,,averaged near 20% growth per year for the last 10 years.

We may have members of our forum that are a little less sophisticated about foreign exchange than you profess to be. I, therefore believe your constant postings of the off-shore rate of exchange for the US$ to be devious at best and confusing to many members.
The off-shore rate is NOT what our members will receive when they arrive at the local money exchanges in their quest for the ultimate GFE. They will receive the exchange rate of the moment for either cash or traveler's checks and not the off-shore rate you so gleefully post.
I cannot imagine why you insist on keeping this charade up unless it is your attempt to show some degree of Aussie superiority. By your own admission, you are not playing the currency game. Please tell us why you think the rate you keep posting is germane to any of us that are not playing Forex.

Expat,,,I very much doubt my quoting the world standard exchange rates is going to hurt anyone,,,99% of people booking flightz or hotelz would get quoted in their home currenzey.
If it really anoyz you,,,you can chooze not to open.
Just to be fair AUD off-shore 26.3, on-shore 29.3,,,forsome reason we don't getmore for our $100 notes.
