Better service (non-p4p) if you believe my nephew, that would be in Dubai, Jordan and Iran.. (the young lad can't be helped, as has a crush on persian girls, for whatever reason, so now countries in the middle east are the best place in the world to him).

That's interesting because I would say my negative views/issues about Thailand have little to do directly with P4P activities. Sure some of the people I encounter in the P4P arena share some of the things that I view as negative about Thailand but generally speaking no more so than those outside the industry.
This is not to say that I have not experienced anything negative in P4P, but I have different expectations in that arena then I have outside the arena. Just as I have different expectations at a five star hotel as apposed to a guest house.
I would say I have encountered better service in most of the resorts I have visited in Aruba, The Dominican Republic, and even in Mexico (Cancun, Cabo San Lucas) than I generally encounter in Thailand. This is especially true when dealing with things that require the staff to think outside the box. Had one of my best vacations ever in Cancun mainly because one of the members of the hotel staff took an especially keen interest in keeping the group I was with entertained.
