When the American sailors were in Pattaya and aimlessly wandering down Soi 17 off walking street ( a Muslim popular Soi) years ago.
I witnessed a yank say comments similar to the above poster.
I set fire to a rubbish bin ahead of them noticing a few were smoking.
They immediately became blamed for it, and words exchanged.
The end result was a fight.
I was simply being a match maker....allowing feelings on either side to be expressed

The Muslims had a few businesses in that area...
It was going the Americans way at first, but the middle eastern guys reinforced their numbers quickly from 2 or 3 to about 8...the 4 or 5 guys from the ships made a break for it, two have bloodied faces.
Police arrived and MPs....as the only sole westerner still remaining I advised the MPs that the Americans had lit a fire abused the peaceful men with anti Muslim rants.
I shocked visibly the Arabs with my account....as initially they complained I would lie and be biased....
They appeared very confused even slightly dazed as I unfolded a damming report.
I had an offer of a meal for free which I passed on.
I just went off to Super babies and had a beer like never had happened.
I don't like talk about Chinese and Muslims by Americans and felt a lesson might help improve their manners.

In Australia we have an influx of Asian students on bogus study visa"s.
They pay ( or rather middle class parents pay $18,000 a year each to study here...)
Many while studying also work in Massage parlours...this is who he refers to.
I don't abuse them at all...money is exchanged for services...thats good business.
They are free at any time to leave my home when they do in house visits etc
Or ask me to leave.....
When on their work premises....truth is we get along great....
They really give "" good service "" as the madam promises....

But the good news is that the new group that have just taken over the Nana Plaza lease are about to sink a HUGE amount of money into doing the place up.
I think they must be Thai though (i know they're not, so they must have lived here too long and converted!), caring only about the facade and look, when in the end it will be the same shit service staff, Thai heavies and crap night, doesn't matter how fresh the paint is or how bright the neon is, its the people working there that make or break it.
