Telling other people how to live their lives is somewhat anathema to me so I try to follow a live and let live policy (which is quite a feat for me as I am fairly narrow-minded), but I oppose drug use as well. Not the best way to escape the daily grind.
Personally, I am getting increasingly uncomfortable with the rising number of stoned, dumb-downed teenagers who are strolling out and about the streets as my country looks set to legalize consumption of marijuana, and I sincerely hope that this trend doesn't spread into Asia.
Strictly IMO - I have fairly oldschool beliefs when it comes to most issues.

Must say that I'm all for the maximization of individual personal liberties and the right to choose for oneself what he/she does with their lives.
With that being said I say LEGALIZE IT! No need for governments to play "mommy" or "daddy" for the general populace. Let adults be adults and decide for themselves.
If they self destruct...then good riddance to the weak ones.

Occasionally they will bust a place on RCA or other Thai hangout. But not as often as the farang frequented/Thai Hi So places. Ratchada Soi 8 never that I can recall and there must be a few thousand Thais drinking after hours down there. Easier and more cash to be had from the farang frequented places.

Sin is on Soi 4 Raja Hotel Car Park where Rainbow Disco used to be. Roof top concept similar to Josephines but plusher, not so crowded. A pain in the ass to get served.

Clearly you missed the year (2003, I think it was) when the focus was on pursuing dealers and distributors, and it was done with the same aplomb and professionalism - a year that 2,700+ people were killed by the same police. In all seriousness, the end-users drive demand, just as the other scum are driving supply -- it's not a uniquely on-way street. Furthermore, I have little sympathy for losers that do drugs... so, if they get harassed by having to piss in a cup, or taken to jail... QED.
You are making some really wild assumptions here. Firstly that all/the majority of dealers were taken out in the War on Drugs. Secondly that most of the people who are looking for somewhere to go after 2 am are users.
I think that you are very wrong on both counts.

Went to Josephines Last Night and that was shut and then downstairs to the Isaan 40 degree bar which was also closed. These used to open late but have probably fallen out of favour with those fun killing boyz in brown. Is this a permanent close?
