Most of the 4 or 5 star hotels have buffets. I have eaten at the Sheraton and Westin buffets, but I am sure others have them also.

BothSheraton and Westin are good but I prefer Marriott on Sukhunvit soi 2 or Plaza Athenee' on Wireless. IMO, variety and freshness of food is better at these two and Plaza is #1.

The rooms are shit, but it has a great buffet lunch about 300b. Each month they have a different theme flavour along with Thai food.
One week could be English food, Italian, Greek, Indian, Mexican, Chinese or South American. Tastes great and much variety, but last time I was there June 05 it was good value. Oh yeah all the cakes, ice creams yummy. You can put on an extra kg or 2 there no problem 555.
In the evening the price goes up to around 400b. I was going to take some other Aussie friends there tonight, but will wait to see the prices in the hotels that Jack has mentioned.
Prices are going to govern our eating feast tonight, so come on JA.

Best one I've had (though haven't tried Athenee's or Marriott's) is the Dinner Buffet at Novotel Siam Square, about 600-700 THB if I remember correctly, much better than Sofitel's or others. Normally on offering are Falang, Thai, Japanese. Great pates, salads and hot dishes.

Dotcom,
Marriott and Plaza prices are steep (can't remember exactly) especially in the evening but the Plaza in particular has a very extensive grill that can do anything from beef, pork, to phuket lobster and other seafood... all included in the price.
BTW, Sheraton has a Sunday Jazz brunch that has to be the mother of all buffets! This thing is on the first floor and there is food at every corner. You name it, they have it.

Agreed. Certainly the best value compared to the Sheraton, etc. Lunch time too. Get a table near the window for the CU eye candy. A great way to kill a few hours.
